Nicole Schwab
World Economic Forum
Nicole Schwab is Co-Director of the Platform to Accelerate Nature-Based Solutions and 1t.org at the World Economic Forum. With a scientific and public policy background, she started her career working on health policy in the Andes for the Government of Bolivia and the World Bank, before returning to Europe to become Founding Director of the Forum of Young Global Leaders – which she currently chairs. In 2009, she co-founded EDGE Certified Foundation, a business certification standard for gender equality in the workplace, which today works with over 250 multinational companies across 40 countries. She then served as a consultant and strategic advisor to non-profit organizations at the intersection of environment and gender, including National Geographic Society’s Campaign for Nature. Her writing includes an award-winning novel, The Heart of the Labyrinth.
Lars Müller
EU Business and Biodiversity Platform – DG Environment / European Commission
Since March 2016, Lars Müller has been coordinating the EU Business and Biodiversity Platform, a forum for cooperation with the private sector to integrate biodiversity aspects into business practice, such as natural capital accounting. The platform includes the Community of Practice Finance@Biodiversity and also contributes to innovative national and international initiatives and presenting best business practices.

AXA Switzerland
Thomas Hügli is currently Chief Sustainability Officer at AXA Switzerland and also serves as President of the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Climate Foundation. He looks back on 25 years of communication experience as deputy editor in chief of a financial publication, co-owner of a PR agency, and Corporate Responsibility and Communications Manager in major companies. He’s especially enthusiastic about sustainable business models, biodiversity, climate change, ecosystem restoration and corporate narratives.

WBCSD’s Ambassador for Biodiversity
Peter White is a biologist and sustainability leader, who serves as WBCSD’s Ambassador for Biodiversity and CBD COP15. In this role he is working with WBCSD members and partners to bring business solutions to COP15 of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in China in 2021, and to other nature-related initiatives and events.
