Dr Victor Beumer

Senior Research at Earthwatch Europe

Dr Victor Beumer is Senior Research Lead for the programme Climate-proof Cities at Earthwatch Europe. Earthwatch Europe is a science-focused NGO where we try to bring people back in contact with nature and in balance within their use of resources. Most research is achieved with citizen science programmes through online applications, engagement events and training. Victor has brought the Tiny Forest concept to the UK and connected it with a nation-wide engagement and monitoring programme. We planted our first Tiny Forest in March 2020 and another 16 since. This coming winter we will plant another 92 Tiny Forests.
